Ruth Conniff, editor-in-chief of The Wisconsin Examiner will be a featured speaker at the Dwight Foster Public Library.
Conniff, who is also a past-editor of The Progressive magazine, has been invited to speak to the Democratic Party of Jefferson County at its member meeting, according to a news release supplied by the party.
The public is invited to attend, the release stated.
The library is located at 209 Merchants Ave., Fort Atkinson.
According to the release, Conniff will speak about her book, titled: “Milked: How an American Crisis Brought Together Midwestern Dairy Farmers and Mexican Workers.”
The meeting will be held Tuesday, July 26, at 7 p.m.
Conniff has appeared on as a guest on several media outlets, including Good Morning America, C-SPAN, and NPR and has been a frequent guest on “All In” with Chris Hayes on MSNBC. Conniff lives in Madison, the release stated.
The Democratic Party of Jefferson County is a grassroots organization whose mission is to elect progressive candidates at local, state, and national levels. Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month, the release continued.
