The Fort Community Credit Union (FCCU) has announced that it has awarded five scholarship to area 2022 graduates, each of whom have been selected to receive $2,000.
The awards total $10,000.
According to information released by the credit union, “the scholarship was developed in 2019 as a reflection of FCCU’s mission statement: ‘To help our members be in a better financial position than when we met them.’ With the rising cost of education, we wanted to help local graduates offset costs as they enter a whole new chapter of their lives. We are confident the students chosen (representing all of those who applied) have a bright, exciting future ahead of them,” Danielle Frawley, executive vice president and chief experience officer at FCCU, was quoted as saying in the release.
