Fort HealthCare has announced it will be holding multiple walk-in mammogram screening events in October.
According to the release, events will be offered each Monday in October from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 22 and 29, from 8 a.m. to noon.
Beauty and the Bean’s coffee camper will be onsite both Saturdays. Mammogram screening participants will receive a same-day voucher for a free beverage, the release noted.
Clinics will be held in the Fort HealthCare Radiology Department, on the first floor of Fort Memorial Hospital, 611 Sherman Ave., East, Fort Atkinson.
An appointment or provider referral is not required. Patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants do not need to be an existing Fort HealthCare patient.
Participants are asked to bring a current insurance card. Screening vouchers will be available to those without coverage, the release noted.
Participants who are eligible for the screenings include those who are 40 or older; have not had a mammogram, breast biopsy or breast surgery in the past year; have not had breast cancer in the past 2 years; do not have breast implants, and have not had any current breast problems or concerns.
