As noted in a news release, the musical’s plot follows that of the Christmas movie, “Elf,” and tells the story of “Buddy,” a human mistakenly raised by elves at the “North Pole.”

“Buddy learns about his father who lives in New York and is not happy to learn that he has a son who thinks he’s an elf. Buddy is an innocent in the big city as he encounters commercialism, big city craziness and an inexplicable — in his eyes — lack of Christmas spirit,” according to the release.

The musical was performed on Broadway, in New York, in its current format, between 2010 and 2013 and has been touring ever since, the release stated.

The Stoughton Village Players performance is directed by Patt Dischler and Buddy is played by Allen Ebert. A full list of cast members is here: http://www.stoughtonvillageplayers.org/home—elf-cast.html
