With the startup of Fort Atkinson Online LLC three years ago, a concern has always been in the back of my mind: What would happen if I became ill or was called away for a period of time?
This week, that concern became a reality when I contracted a rather severe cold, which slowed me from my planned regimen of work between Tuesday and Saturday.
I must admit, I feel much better today, and am glad to be back at my keyboard.
While I was able to get a few things published, some information has remained in my email box.
My sincere apologies to anyone who has yet to see a published version of their submitted information.
Please let me know if you do not see it over the course of the next few days.
A cold is a common malaise, and I am glad for its conclusion just in time for us to embark upon a new year, with all of its potential.
To all with whom Fort Atkinson Online LLC, through our two news sites — Fort Atkinson Online and WhitewaterWise — interacts, I look forward to our embarking, yet again, on a year of advancement and discovery, as we embrace the adventures and challenges of the day, in which we all have a mutual stake.
Fort Atkinson Online LLC remains dedicated to bringing you information so you, as a constituency, can continue to mold your world.
I embark upon this new year with a lesson: Once something that caused consternation occurs and proves to be surmountable, it no longer occupies the same level of concern. Colds — bumps and sneezes — will come and go, but our commitment to our readers will, in earnest and with devotion, grow and prevail.
Happy New Year, and, as always,
thanks for reading.
