The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is asking the public for book donations in advance of its next annual book sale.
Donations can be made Mondays from 4-6 p.m., and Tuesdays and Saturday from 9-11 a.m.
According to a recent news release, donation will be accepted through Sept. 3., and can be dropped off at a sorting station located in the Jones Dairy warehouse next to the Fort Atkinson Food Pantry.
To locate the sorting station, turn west off Janesville Avenue at 7th Street, then left on Jones Avenue and follow the signs. For those in need of assistance loading or with help picking up books, call 920-309-2668, the release stated.
There are no longer barrels at the local grocery stores to receive books, the release continued.
AAUW requests that books made as donations are in good condition. The group does not accept encyclopedias, Readers Digest Condensed Books, magazines or textbooks that are more than 10 years old.
The 2022 AAUW book sale will be held Sept. 16 and 17 at the Fort Atkinson Municipal Building, North Water Street, West, entrance.
Proceeds from the event fund academic scholarships for local women, the release noted.
