The Black Hawk Artists kicked off their 48th annual show with a reception Sunday, Nov. 7, at the Hoard Historical Museum in Fort Atkinson.
The 13 artists are exhibiting works in media, ranging from alcohol ink, Ebru marbling and felting to collage, jewelry making, sculpture and more.
The show continues through Thursday, Nov. 18. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Featured artists include Angie Szabo, Sally Koehler, Mary Pratt, Karen Gomez, Karen Crosby, Judith Henning, Priscilla Heussner, Jan Holewinski, Linda Tump, Janet Nelson, Julia Ince, Mary Wallace and Jan Gilkey.
In addition, the artists are remembering longtime member Kim Karow, who passed away Aug. 8, 2020, at the age of 56.
The Black Hawk Artists meet monthly to critique each other’s work and plan their annual show. Each year, they challenge each other to illustrate a particular theme for their show, as well as produce at least three new works for exhibit. This year’s theme is “Full Circle.”
The Hoard Historical Museum is located at 401 Whitewater Avenue in Fort Atkinson. There is no admission charge; however, donations are appreciated. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, facemasks are required when visiting the museum. Disposable masks are available if needed.
Some exhibited work also is for sale.
