About the Coalition

According to its website, the Homeless Coalition of Fort Atkinson is a nonprofit organization that provides transitional housing and emergency assistance to families and individuals in need in the Fort Atkinson area. The Homeless Coalition of Fort Atkinson was begun in 2019, after the death of Keith Lueloff, who was found in one of the city’s parks. A group of concerned citizens from churches, organizations, and businesses in the city gathered to discuss options to begin to coordinate support. More recently, among projects underway, the coalition is seeking donations for its “capital campaign,” through which it is working to raise $200,000 to provide transitional housing for families in need, the website states. Additionally, the organization notes that in 2022, it anticipated serving more than 60 families or individuals in need. A list of needs, and alternative opportunities to donate to the organization’s projects, is found here: https://forthomeless.org/donate/.
