Charmaine R. Ehlke, 93, of Johnson Creek, formerly of Saint Germain, died Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek.
She was born on November 5, 1928, in Wausau, daughter of the late Robert and Beulah (Koos) Ulrich. Charmaine married William Ehlke Jr. on May 11, 1946. He preceded her in death on September 28, 2016.
Charmaine was involved with the Girl Scouts for more than 70 years and was a member of its council. She loved spending time fishing, hiking, and camping with her family. She also enjoyed making quilts for cancer patients.
Charmaine is survived by her children, John (Gerri) Ehlke, Laurel Hasenstein, Christine (Dennis) Froehlich and Jennifer (Nick Miller) Heyer; grandchildren, Brian (Sashie) Ehlke, Matthew (Shelley) Ehlke, Heather (Chris) Marks, Christopher Hasenstein, Shannon Hasenstein, Nicole Hasenstein, Nathan Hasenstein, Micky (Chelsea) Froehlich, Andrew (Michelle) Heyer, Lauren Ehlke, William Heyer, Emily Miller, Molly Miller and Nate Miller; great grandchildren, Maddy Ehlke, Meghan Ehlke, Danika Marks, Allie Marks, Jessica Senor, Ginny Senor, Stephanie Senor, Canann Heyer, Jett Heyer and Keiran Froehlich and sister, Nola Pahl. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Froehlich; brother, Robert Ulrich and son-in-law, Steven Hasenstein.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Jefferson. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. at the church until time of service.
Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
