The Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that Citizens for Strong Fort Schools has joined as a new member.
According to information released by the chamber, the group is composed of community members; teachers, both past and present; parents; business owners, and School District of Fort Atkinson graduates, among others, who support the district’s staff and efforts to provide for all children.
“The group focuses on the continual collaboration and teamwork that happens every single day in schools,” the release noted, adding that the group’s mission, in part, is to disseminate information about the district and its upcoming referendum.
Additionally, the release stated, the group works to promote the district and its achievements, “while boosting the community.
“Citizens for Strong Fort Schools operates on the belief that strong schools deliver significant benefits to a community, which results in a strong environment for local businesses.”
“Our school leadership in Fort is strong and unified to provide the best environment for our kids to succeed. They can only accomplish their goals with the support from everyone in our community, exemplifying the definition of public schools. Schools are the heart of healthy communities,” Justin Steger, an active member of Citizens for Strong Fort Schools, was quoted as saying in the release.
