The City of Whitewater Department of Public Works has announced it will be collecting discarded Christmas trees on Tuesday, Jan. 4, and Tuesday, Jan. 11.
Those with trees to be picked up are asked to place them on the terrace by 5 a.m. on the prescribed dates.
According to information released by the city, residents who wish to have a tree picked up before or after the prescribed dates must call the Department of Public Works at 262-473-0560 before 5 a.m. on Tuesday to schedule a brush pickup.
Trees that have been flocked (sprayed with artificial snow) or contain wire will not be collected, the release continued. Such trees should be placed for collection by John’s Disposal on the second Thursday of the month, which is bulk pickup day.
