Dennis ‘Denny’ A. Prochnow

Dennis “Denny” A. Prochnow, age 75, passed away at his home.  He was born on July 26,1948 in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Donald and Lois (Kohl) Prochnow. He was baptized on December 12, 1948 at Rockdale Lutheran Church.  He graduated from Cambridge High School in 1966. He worked at Schweigers; D & J Ford Garage, John Ficher Ford and owned his own business, Denny’s Country Garage, repairing vehicles at his home for 25 years until his retirement on January 1, 2016.
He is survived by his wife, Judy, of 54 years; children Brian (Jeri) Boden and Kris Prochnow (Eric Lein); his grandchildren Zachery Boden, Tyler Tofte, Kaitlyn Tofte and great grandson Dallas Boden. He is also survived by his sisters; Linda (Jack) Taylor and Mary (Jim) Keller, Cambridge; and brother Jim Prochnow (Carla Farrar), Stoughton; brothers-in-law Bob (Connie) Johnson, Mequon and Ron Kuhn, DeForest.  He is also survived by his nieces and nephews and their children; Stacy Simonson (Don Zimmerman), Dan Keller, Tim Keller (Jenni Tornai), Jessica Prochnow (Jeff Ardman) and Joshua (Tiffany) Prochnow, Peter (Monica) Johnson, Andrew (Heidi) Johnson, Jeffery (Koreen) Kuhn and Michelle (Jeff) Clark.  He is also survived by Richard (Mary) Anderson and their three daughters and their families:  Christine (Andrew) Photopulas, Cheryl (Nick) Anderson and Caryn (Neil) Haack.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Lois Prochnow; his sister-in-law, Georgia Kuhn; a nephew, Jacob Prochnow; a niece, Kristina Prochnow and great niece, Kaliyah; along with many other friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Rockdale Lutheran Church or to the charity of one’s choice
A memorial service will take place at 3PM on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Nitardy Funeral Home, 208 N. Park St. Cambridge, WI 53523.  A visitation will take place from 1PM until the time of service.  A celebration of life is planned for a later date.
