Diane Louise Krause, 68, of Fort Atkinson, passed away on April 22, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer combined with other illnesses. Born on May 30, 1955 in Fort Atkinson, WI, she peacefully departed this world at Alden Estates in Jefferson, Wisconsin.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Ralph and Gladys (Kutz) Krause and was the oldest child of three. She was a caring sister to the late Daniel (Gail) Krause and James (Deena) Krause. Her role as an aunt was one she cherished deeply, sharing in the joys and milestones of her nieces and nephews; Jenny (and her husband Eric) Kruk, Scott (and fiancée Katie) Krause, Alyssa Krause, and Braden Krause. Diane’s delight in family extended to her position as a great aunt to Lilly Kruk. Her conversations were never without genuine interest in the lives of her nieces and nephews.
Diane attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School and graduated from Fort Atkinson High School. Diane’s commitment to her community was evident in her long-standing employment at Nasco and as a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Diane’s interests were a reflection of her love for the simple pleasures in life. She was an avid fan of TV game shows along with her passion for the Green Bay Packers. She also treasured the time she spent with family.
Even though Diane struggled for many years with health conditions, those who knew her will remember her for her thoughtfulness.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2024 at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Atkinson.
Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
