The 22nd annual Earth, Wood and Fire Artist Tour will take place this weekend in Jefferson and Dane counties.
Slated for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 23 and 24, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the free, self-guided driving tour features handmade art and the scenic beauty of Wisconsin’s backroads in autumn, according to information released by the Cambridge Arts Council.
Event participants include:
• Cambridge: Ric Lamore, potter, Broadwing Clay Studio; Michael Schael, potter, Rock Eagle Pottery; Julie Moehn, woven textiles, Cranefield Wovens; Peter Jackson, potter, Wakefield Studio; Mark Skudlarek, potter, Cambridge Woodfired Pottery; Glen Cutcher, potter; Janet Nelson, painter; Brian Szabo, jewelry and custom knives; Angie Szabo, jewelry, A.H. Szabo Designs.
Angie Szabo is an art teacher at Fort Atkinson High School.
• Deerfield: Craig Kitzman, potter.
• Lake Mills: Thomas “Bud” Skupniewitz, potter, Cline Art Works; Brian Furlin, mixed-media assemblage, Tossed and Found Art; Peggy Furlin, artist; Bruce Johnson, potter, Bruce Johnson Clay Studio; Joe Kiefer, painter; Will Wipperfurth, wood artist, Will’s Woods.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, facemasks will be required at all locations, and hand sanitizer and masks will be available. Participants will follow CDC physical-distance guidelines and be sanitizing their sites throughout the day.
Weather permitting and where space allows, pots will be displayed outdoors at most locations.
There will not be any food or snacks available at the artists’ venues.
