Easter activities planned in Fort

The Easter Bunny and Floyd the Badger will be headlining springtime children’s activities in Fort Atkinson.

On Wednesday, March 31, the Fort Atkinson Parks and Recreation Department will present Easter Express, a drive-through event at Ralph Park.

It will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. or while supplies last.

Each participant will receive a kit that includes 10 filled eggs, Easter crafts and games.

In addition, the Easter Bunny will pose for a photo with attendees from their car. Photos will be posted on the department’s Facebook page by the end of the day Thursday, April 1.

The cost is $5 per person, to be paid in cash only.

Vehicles will enter Ralph Park from the south end of Jefferson Street; drive through the parking lot, where children will receive their kits and have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny; and then exit back onto Jefferson Street toward Hake Street.

Meanwhile, St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and School is holding an Easter Egg hunt for all children in the Fort Atkinson community.

The free event takes place Saturday, April 3, with hunts at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. and noon. They will be divided into age groups to keep it fun, fair and safe for everyone.

There also will be games and activities throughout the morning, and the school mascot, Floyd the Badger, will be on hand to greet the children and pose for photos.

The event will be held on the playground behind St. Paul’s Lutheran School and Preschool on Bluff Street.
