Fort Community Credit Union (FCCU) has announced that it will be holding a brat cookout fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 22.
Proceeds from the event will be used to support the Homeless Coalition of Fort Atkinson, according to a news release.
The event will be held at the FCCU Main Branch, 800 Madison Ave., Fort Atkinson, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
According to the release, the Homeless Coalition of Fort Atkinson (HCFA) is a nonprofit organization that provides transitional housing and emergency financial assistance to individuals and families in need in the Fort Atkinson area.
“Since its founding in 2019, the HCFA has been able to rally people and organizations around the cause to end homelessness in our community. Credit unions are guided by the idea of people helping people, and we are proud to work with this great coalition again to contribute to their mission,” Jeffery Anderson, FCCU director of marketing, was quoted as saying in the release.
The fundraiser will feature a $5 meal, including a brat, chips/apple and a drink meal, and a $4 meal, including a hot dog, chips/apple and a drink.
Along with FCCU, cookout sponsors include Kwik Trip, Pick n’ Save and Jameson’s Apple Farm.
Seating will be available and food will be served rain or shine, the release stated.
Those arriving wearing Halloween costumes will receive a “festive treat,” the release noted.
