Fort Community Credit Union (FCCU) will be holding its annual brat cookout fundraiser, according to information released by the organization.
The event will be held Saturday, June 8, at the credit union’s main branch, 800 Madison Ave., Fort Atkinson, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., or until the food is sold out.
Additionally, a “Cancer Walk” will be held in coordination with the cookout, the release stated, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The walking event will be held on the Fort Atkinson High School track.
Those participating in the walk may also purchase food as part of the cookout fundraiser, including brats, hot dogs and baked goods, from FCCU employees who will be on hand in the track’s concessions stand.
Attendees at both sites can purchase a meal, including a Johnsonville brat, chips, and a drink for $5, or a meal including a hot dog, chips, and a drink for $4.
Proceeds earned through the fundraiser will go to the Jefferson County Cancer Coalition, which is a nonprofit organization that offers financial assistance to cancer patients and their families within Jefferson County.
“We are proud to host this event each year to raise funds for such a wonderful, local organization,” Deanna Ugalde, credit resolutions specialist at FCCU and event organizer, was quoted as saying in the release.
The event will take place rain or shine, with some seating provided, the release noted.
Those interested in placing advance orders are encouraged to fax them to Ugalde at 920-563-0327.
