Fort Atkinson Community Theatre (FACT) has announced it will be holding auditions for its presentation of “All Together Now!”
The presentation is being hosted as part of an international event, facilitated through Musical Theatre International (MTI), one of the world’s leading theatrical licensing agencies, granting theaters from around the world the rights to perform the greatest selection of musicals from Broadway and beyond, according to the agency’s website.
All Together Now! is a global event celebrating local theatre and is an opportunity for schools and theaters around the world to locally produce and perform an exclusive musical review on the same weekend, a recent press release from FACT stated, adding that some 1,600 venues have signed on, representing 36 countries and 50 American states.
In Fort Atkinson, auditions for the performance will be held Saturday, Sept. 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Monday, Sept. 20, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Auditions will take place at the St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 302 Merchants Ave.
Those interested in auditioning are asked to come prepared to sing an excerpt of their choice from a Broadway show tune. Those auditioning may sing a capella or with accompaniment, which they must supply.
The production features songs from “Les Miserables,” “Rent,” “Waitress,” and other musicals, according to information released by FACT.
Roles are available for all voices, ages 12 and older.
FACT will kick off its new season with this show, organizers stated in the release.
Performance dates are Friday, Nov. 12, and Saturday, Nov. 13. Show times for performances are yet to be determined, according to the release.
Rehearsals will be mostly on an individual basis, but will also include a few rehearsals for the group numbers, the release continued.
