The Fort Atkinson Woman’s Club has announced it will be meeting Tuesday, April 12, at 1:15 p.m., at the Dwight Foster Public Library, 209 Merchants Ave., Fort Atkinson.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
According to information released by the club, members will “take an arm-chair trip to explore the sea life of the Outer Banks of North Carolina, which are comprised of a 200-mile string of barrier islands. Chris Mode will be making the presentation.
In addition, during the meeting, members will vote for a new slate of club officers who will be installed in May.
Those interested in the meeting topic or in becoming a club member are encouraged to attend.
Annual membership is $30.
The Fort Atkinson Woman’s Club is a charitable organization that has been serving the Fort Atkinson area for more than 70 years. Its aim and objectives are to promote education and community welfare.
Each year, through membership dues and fundraisers, the club sponsors community improvement projects that have included donations to the Homeless Coalition of Fort Atkinson and the Boys and Girls Club of Fort Atkinson. It also awards a yearly $1,000 educational scholarship to a local returning adult college student.
