Fort HealthCare seeks gently used magazines for display in waiting rooms

Fort HealthCare has announced that it will once again be offering magazines for perusal to those visiting its waiting rooms.

The organization is asking members of the public for donations of gently used magazines to help supply this use, according to a recent news release.

Donating gently used magazines offers an opportunity to bring renewed use to the publications before they are thrown away or recycled, the released stated.

The hospital is requesting donations of family-friendly publications that are no more than three months old.

Upon receipt of the magazines, Fort HealthCare volunteers will sort them and place labels over the label identifying the address of the original recipient, the release noted.

Those interested in making a donation are asked to drop off their magazines in the hospital’s main entrance, 611 E. Sherman Ave., Fort Atkinson, or at the Volunteer Services department.

According to the release, the hospital requests that donated magazines meet the following requirement:

• Magazines should not be more than three months old.

• Magazines should not have torn or cut-off address labels. Donors are encouraged to obscure their personal information with a permanent marker.

• Magazines should be family-friendly.

• Magazines should be in good condition, meaning without stains, tears or missing pages.

• Magazines should not be promotional in nature or catalogs.

• Magazines should not be political in nature.
