The Friends of Lorine Niedecker, in collaboration with the Dwight Foster Public Library, will be hosting a reading of poetic works published within a newsletter produced by the friends group, titled: “The Solitary Plover.”
The event is offered in celebration of National Poetry Month, according to a news release.
The readings will be held both in person and remotely. The in-person event will be held Tuesday, April 26, at 6:30 p.m. at the library, 209 Merchants Ave., Fort Atkinson.
Those interested in attending remotely can watch the event through live-streaming using the YouTube platform. A link to the event is here: https://youtu.be/S-bGAImcRj4.
According to the release, poets whose work was published in the Winter 2022 issue of The Solitary Plover will attend both in-person and remotely and offer a reading of their work.
The event will be moderated by Plover poetry editor Tom Montag, who also will read from his latest work, the release stated.
