Fort Lions Club announces new members

The Fort Atkinson Lions Club has been joined earlier this month by three new members. 

According to information released by the club, the new members are Mike Zagelow, Austin Kind, and John Houseman.

The three members were initiated into the group by Lions District Governor David Stedman on Jan. 9.

During the initiation Stedman cited the service organization’s 100-year history. 

Within the release, information shared about Zagelow noted that he is a pharmacist and owner of Hometown Pharmacy in Fort Atkinson. 

Information shared about Kind noted that he is a nurse at the Fort Memorial Hospital and an assistant wrestling coach at the Fort Atkinson High School. 

Information shared about Houseman stated that he is retired and serves as a volunteer in the role of Catholic deacon at St. Patrick Parish in Janesville. 

 According to the release, Lions Clubs International is the largest service club organization in the world. Since 1917, Lions clubs have aided the blind and visually impaired, championed youth initiatives, and strengthened communities through hands-on service and humanitarian projects. The organization’s motto is “We Serve.”
