The Fort Atkinson Lions Club was joined earlier this year by two new members.
According to information released by the club this month, the new members are Neva Boxx and Norm Brehm. Both attended a meeting held March 27 where they were officially welcomed.
During the March meeting, an “installation” was held, which was led by Lions Club First Vice President Eric Schultz.
According to the release, Boxx retired from the Rib Lake School District and relocated to Fort Atkinson to be closer to family. She has four grown children and eight grandchildren.
Brehm moved to Fort Atkinson from Pewaukee and is a retired tech education teacher. He enjoys woodworking and taught classes in Menomonie Falls and Waterford.
As stated within the release, Lions Clubs International is the largest service club organization in the world. Since 1917, Lions clubs have aided the blind and visually impaired, championed youth initiatives, and strengthened communities through hands-on service and humanitarian projects. The organization’s motto is “We Serve.”
