The event took place from 3 to 8 p.m. and included ice skating, Eisstock, curling, hockey, limbo, hiking and skiing on the Bark River Nature Park trails, games, Yeti tracking and crafts.

Snow dogs from H2M2-WI Snow dogs were on hand for attendees to meet and pose for photographs.

The free event was sponsored by the Friends of Haumerson’s Pond. Cosponsors included Agency Insurance, Wayne Hayes Realty, Fort HealthCare, Badger Basement Systems, PremierBank, Fort Community Credit Union and Beauty & the Bean.

Two photos above: Attendees play Eisstock. According to Wikipedia, Eisstock is somewhat similar to curling. In German, it is known as Eisstockschießen. Competitors slide ice stocks over an ice surface, aiming for a target or to cover the longest distance. The Eisstock stones were made by Steve Mode, who spearheaded the revitalization of Haumerson’s Pond.
