Frederick W. Nelson, 70, of Fort Atkinson, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023 at London Lodge in Cambridge.
Fred was born on October 12, 1952 in Milwaukee, son of the late Andrew and Bernardine (Diedrich) Nelson.
Fred worked at the Fireside for 17 years in the dish room. He enjoyed the shows and the people he worked with. He was also a participant in Special Olympics. He bowled and played Bocce. When he was younger, he rode horses.
Fred is survived by his siblings, J.C. Nelson, Catherine (Roy) Venzke, Darlene Gorski and Michele (Harold) Pick; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Andrew “Bucky” Nelson and sister, Bernardette “Bunny” (Nelson) Malczewski.
A memorial visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson.
