The Friends of the Dwight Foster Library have announced they will be holding a Winter Travel Series.
According to information released by the library, the returning program has gained popularity with those who enjoy traveling.
The program focuses on a variety of travel destinations as shared by area residents.
Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases in Jefferson County, the first program, scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 27, with installments at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., will be available remotely with no in-person option, the released stated.
Jess Clayton will discuss “Traveling by Train in Europe … with Kids!”
From the release: “Traveling by train is perhaps the most convenient, relaxing and enjoyable way to travel around Europe. This presentation will discuss the advantages of European travel by train, especially for people who are interested in traveling with children or with multiple generations. It will describe the logistics of European train travel, including how to book rail passes before leaving the US as well as how to take advantage of the flexibility offered by train travel. It will also provide examples from the presenter’s 2019 trip to Europe with her 9-year old twin boys.”
All other installments of the program will have a virtual option with the possibility of having an in-person opportunity as well, the release noted.
