The Jefferson County Master Gardeners and Volunteers organization has announced that Keagan Healy will present information about growing and caring for houseplants.
Healy will offer his presentation tonight, at 6:30 p.m., at the County Extension Office, 864 Collins Rd., Jefferson.
According to information released by the group, Healy, Fort Atkinson, is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He holds a bachelor’s degree in horticulture.
Healy has announced plans to establish a landscaping business in the greater Fort Atkinson area, the release noted.
During his presentation, Healy will focus on questions as they relate to houseplants, including: How do they fit into summer gardening? and, Are their summer needs different from winter care?
The presentation is free and open to the public.
Prior to the presentation, a “brief business meeting” will be held by the group.
“The key discussions will be scheduling and planning summer events. Details about the Peony Tour at Hoard Historical Museum will be shared and finalized,” the release stated.
The group’s next meeting will be held in September. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month.
