James Wollangk, 85 years old, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023. James was born August 19, 1937 in Oshkosh, WI to Glen and Regina (Buettner) Wollangk.
He and his wife were married August 3,1963 in Oshkosh, WI and would have been celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this year. They moved to Fort Atkinson in 1971 where they continued to raise their family.
James served in the Wisconsin Army Reserve for 12 years, was involved with the Boy Scouts as a scout leader and as a district commissioner for Sinnissippi council, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, including serving as Grand Knight. He was also a lifelong Packer fan and enjoyed bowling, golfing and woodworking.
James is survived by his wife of 59 years Judy Wollangk; children, James (Amy) Wollangk, Karin (Edward) Reszynski, Leslie (Edward) Wolf; grandchildren, Stuart, Emma, Isabel, Luke, Stephanie and Edward; and brother, Robert Wollangk.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Naomi and Judy.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 20, 2023, starting at 9 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson with the mass following at 11 am. Burial to follow the service at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
