The Jefferson Chamber of Commerce and Generac Power Systems have announced they will be presenting the 26th Annual Holiday Parade of Lights Dec. 3 at 5:30 p.m.

According to a news release, parade organizers are accepting float registrations. An entry fee is $20 per float. Additional information is available at www.jeffersonchamberwi.com or by contacting the chamber by email: admin@jeffersonchamberwi.com or phone: 920-674-4511.

This year’s parade route is as follows: the parade will start at the intersection of Walworth and Main streets and move north through the downtown area, next turning east on Racine Street and continuing south on Center Street to disband, the release stated.

The parade is coordinated this year by a chamber committee led by Mark Catton and Peggy Bare. Other committee members include Brittany Bear and Jake Gibson with support from the Jefferson Police Department and  the city’s Department of Public Works, the release noted.

“The Jefferson Holiday Parade has a long-standing history. We are looking forward to continuing the holiday tradition and growing it,” Tourism and Main Street Director Megan Cooper was quoted as saying in the release.

This year, “Yankee Dutchmen” will be performing in the parade and in Rotary Park following the parade. The performance will be sponsored by Jefferson Live Music Foundation and Nestle Purina. “Santa’s Vehicle” will be sponsored by Badger Bank and Rainbow Hospice Care, the release continued.
