The Jefferson Chamber of Commerce has announced that it is seeking entries into this year’s Holiday Parade of Lights.
The event, which is in its 27th year, is sponsored by the chamber and Generac Power Systems, according to information released by the chamber.
This year’s parade will be held Saturday, Dec. 2, at 5:30 p.m.
According to the release, the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce has announced that, starting this year, the parade entry fee is being waived for all participants.
“The Holiday Parade of Lights is an event with the purpose of celebrating the Jefferson community around the holidays. In removing the participation fee, we hope to welcome more businesses, clubs, community organizations, and groups into the parade to celebrate with us,” Jefferson Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Megan Cooper was quoted as saying in the release.
The chamber anticipates that the event will attract participants from the full surrounding area, and stated within the release, that “all are welcome to join in the community spirit on December 2 by coming to downtown Jefferson to view the parade or by putting together a lighted float to enter into the parade.
“Entries are due to the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce office, the release noted, no later than Friday, Nov. 17.
Additional information and entry forms are available on the chamber’s website: www.jeffersonchamberwi.com, by emailing the chamber: director@jeffersonchamberwi.com, and by calling: 920-674-4511.
