The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has announced the names of several award recipients honored by the Jefferson County Chiefs and Sheriff Association during a banquet held last month.
According to information released by the sheriff’s office, the banquet was held Thursday, Jan. 19, at the Koshkonong Mounds Country Club, Fort Atkinson.
Each year the association receives nominations for outstanding work in Jefferson County, the release noted.
During the banquet, several individuals were recognized by the association, with many of the award presentations made by Jefferson County Chiefs and Sheriff Association President and Watertown Police Department Chief Robert Kaminski, the release stated.
A list of awards, presenters and recipients, as announced by the sheriff’s office, is as follows:
• The Crisis Intervention Officer of the Year award was presented by Jefferson County Human Services Director Brent Ruehlow to Deputy Heather Novotny of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
• The Associations Officer of Year award was Presented to Deputy Kyle VandeZande of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
• The Community Excellence award was presented to Rob Morton of Enhanced Surveillance Protection.
• The Support Staff Person of the Year award was presented to Jaymie McCoy of the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office.
• The Associations Presidents award was presented to Kathie Cauley, the former Director of Jefferson County Human Services.
