The National Weather Service is reporting “very warm” conditions expected across Jefferson County today, with highs anticipated in the lower 90s and the “highest heat index readings 95 to 98 in the late afternoon.”
In Addition, the Jefferson County Emergency Management Office has released an updated list of cooling shelters within the county for those in need of relief from the heat.
