A cash donation has been made to help replace a freezer at the Jefferson Food Pantry, according to information released by TDS Telecommunications.
The firm recently contributed $1,250 to the cause.
According to the release, the donation was made as part of a “week-long celebration” held by the company, focusing on its core values, which include “investing in people and communities.”
“Helping the communities we serve is an essential part of TDS’ mission. Since beginning construction in Jefferson, we’ve been proud to support several local organizations and events that make our communities a better place. The Jefferson Food Pantry does incredibly important work for our region, and we are happy to do our part to help them fulfill its mission,” Anna Jensen, TDS associate manager of Field Marketing in Watertown, Fort Atkinson, Jefferson and Whitewater, was quoted as saying in the release.
“The Jefferson Food Pantry is immensely grateful for TDS’ generous donation. This contribution represents so much more than just a monetary figure; it symbolizes a lifeline of hope and sustenance for individuals and families facing food insecurity. With this support, we can expand our efforts to ensure that our neighbors have access to fresh, healthy, and local food. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to TDS for demonstrating its unwavering commitment to fighting hunger and building a stronger, more compassionate community. Together, we can create a future where everyone in Jefferson has access to the nourishment they deserve,” Sara Ariss, Jefferson Food Pantry director, also was quoted as saying in the release.
A check was presented by TDS to the pantry, Thursday, June 8, during which time company associated volunteered their time to share information about an affordable connectivity program offered by TDS.
Those qualifying for the program can receive symmetrical speeds up to 200Mbps at no cost with the company’s TDS Connect product, the release stated.
