Katherine M. Heinke, 71, of Fort Atkinson passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024 in Janesville.
Katherine was born on February 4, 1953 in Albuquerque, NM daughter of the late John and Cecilia (Scharpf) Heinke.
In 1975 she began working as a server and prep cook at Maasz’s North Shore Inn and worked their until it was sold in 2019.
Katherine loved dogs and was a longtime member of The Kennel Club of Fort Atkinson where she would conduct various trainings for dogs.
Katherine is survived by her nieces and nephews, Mechelle (Troy) Maasz-Haynes, Daryl Maasz Jr., Tracy (Stacy) Maasz, Becki (Mike) Kasten and Amy (Josh) Starr. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Marie Heinke; brother, Donald Heinke Sr.; and dear friend, Darlene Maasz.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Lakeview Cemetery in Fort Atkinson.
Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
