The Kiwanis Club of Fort Atkinson has announced that it has assumed the role of organizer of the community’s annual “Trunk or Treat” event.
According to its new organizer, the event will take place in Jones Park, Oct. 31, between 6 and 8 p.m.
According to a recent news release, signing up is not required for those who plan to attend the event.
Those interested in participating as a vendor operating at the event are encouraged to sign up using a form, found here: https://forms.gle/acbkre457by4G3G18 or by contacting: fatrunkortreat@gmail.com. There is no cost to register as a vendor and registration is open to individuals and businesses. Registration closes on Friday, Oct. 14, the release stated.
During Trunk or Treat, The Generals Baseball Team will be running a concession stand. The concession stand will also be accepting donations on behalf of Kiwanis. Any donations collected will be used towards future events and community initiatives, the release noted.
“Our mission is to support programs that have a positive impact on children and families in our community. Our goal with Trunk or Treat is to create a safe and fun event where all children are able to enjoy Halloween and trick or treating. Please join us in our efforts to get as many vendors to sign up and give back to our community,” Megan Cooper, a Fort Atkinson Kiwanian, was quoted as saying in the release.
