The cost is just $10 per vehicle, with reasonable additional fees for tires and old televisions.

Spring recycling, save-the-dates: Friday, April 8, 3 to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, April 9, 8 to 10 a.m., at Jefferson County Fair Park, 503 N. Jackson Ave., Jefferson.

Items to recycle: Friday, April 8, household hazardous waste and/or tires, and

Saturday, April 9, household hazardous waste, tires, electronics and/or appliances.

If you have only hazardous waste and/or tires (and no electronics or appliances), it is recommended to dispose of items on Friday, April 8, if at all possible. This will help keep lines and waiting time down.
