Lynne A. (McKinzie) Heinz, 81, of Fort Atkinson passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Fort Memorial Hospital.
Lynne was born on April 25, 1942 in Frankfort, Indiana to Charles and Rose (Kelly) McKinzie. She graduated Fort Atkinson High School in 1960. Lynne attended cosmetology school in Milwaukee. She married Lee Heinz on December 9, 1961 and they have been happily married for 61 years. Lynne worked for many years in Fort Atkinson as a hair stylist before retiring.
Lynne loved playing bridge! She enjoyed cooking, sewing and visiting with family and friends.
Lynne was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Fort Atkinson. She coordinated the funeral lunches at the church for many years. Lynne loved studying the Bible and was a member of Circle 5.
Lynne is survived by her husband, Lee; sister, Pam (Jim) Jacobson; children, Steve (Chris) Heinz, Beth (Tim) Nathan; grandchildren, Matthew (Sadie Gray) Heinz, Nicole (Anthony Porcaro) Heinz, Hannah Nathan, Alec (Courtney) Nathan; and great-grandchildren, Samuel and Noah Nathan.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rose and Charles McKenzie; also Earl and Juanita Heinz.
A memorial service will take place at 12PM on Friday, November 3 at the First United Methodist Church in Fort Atkinson. A visitation will take place from 10AM until the time of service. A graveside service will take place immediately following services at Lakeview Cemetery in Fort Atkinson.
