The 62nd annual Mary Hoard Art Show Part 2 featuring high school and adult entries is underway at the Hoard Historical Museum in Fort Atkinson.
The Fort Atkinson exhibit kicked off Sunday afternoon with an opening reception and awards program.
The exhibition will remain available for viewing through Saturday, April 27, during the museum’s regular hours of operation, which are Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission to the museum is free.
The Mary Hoard Art Show Part 1, featuring artwork by youngsters in grades K-8, was held in March.

High school entries

Evanna Thao, “Curious,” first place; Nevena Noh, untitled, second place; Daisy Heussner, “Thalassophobia,” third place; and Jessica Nguyen, “Eighteen,” and Maia Price, “Four Walls,” both honorable mention.
Digital
Suzuna Awada, “Sunlight in the Barn,” first place; Estella Thao, “Misty Eyed,” second place; Nicol Meza-Garcia, “Evil Red Riding Hood,” third place, and Evan Dewing, “Tree Bark,” honorable mention.
3-Dimensional
Ben Szabo, “Renatus,” first place; Sofia Portugal, “Mom,” and Amelia Belzer, “Fox Teapot,” tied for second place; Antonia Kuefler, “Giraffe Teapot,” third place, and Maren Haagensen, “Clutter of Cats,” honorable mention.
The 2024 Robert Hase Best in Show
The 2024 Robert Hase Best in Show Award went to Eli Szabo for “Supernatural.” In 1961, Hase, a longtime Fort Atkinson art teacher, and local artist Mary Hoard founded the Fort Atkinson Community Art Show, now renamed the Mary Hoard Art Show.

Judging the art were Margaret Forystek, Vicki Cottam and Jeremy Pinc. Participating schools were Fort Atkinson High School and Faith Community Christian School.
