The fourth annual “BandCake Breakfast” took place Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Fort Atkinson Middle School.
The morning fundraiser sponsored by the Fort Atkinson Band Boosters featured a breakfast of pancakes, Jones Dairy Farm sausage, applesauce and beverages.
Music was provided by the middle school and high school jazz bands and a 50-50 raffle and silent auction of gift baskets were held.
A parent organization, the Band Boosters are seeking local business sponsorships to help support the band students and programing for grades 5-12.
Students have a variety of options from which to choose: concert band, middle and high school jazz bands, marching band and small group ensembles in high school. Financial support is needed for transportation to competitions, field trips to music events and workshops, music camp scholarships and other enrichment opportunities, according to members of the organization.
Beginning with December holiday concerts and ending with the last band performances in May 2024, sponsorship benefits are as follows:
• Friends of the Band: $250 to $499.
Sponsors receive their business’ name on band concert program inserts, in social media releases prior to and after band concerts and on a color printed banner displayed at band concert events.
• Patron of the Arts: $500 to $999.
On a smaller scale, sponsors receive their business’ name on band concert program inserts, in social media releases prior to and after band concerts and on a color printed banner displayed at band concert events.
• Conductor: $1,000 plus.
On a larger scale, sponsors receive their business’ name on band concert program inserts, in social media releases prior to and after band concerts and on a color printed banner displayed at band concert events.
The Fort Atkinson Band Boosters is a tax-deductible organization. Checks may be written to the organization and sent to Fort Atkinson Band Boosters sponsorships, c/o Fort Atkinson High School, 925 Lexington Blvd., Fort Atkinson, WI 53538.
