Parks and Recreation department seeks input

The City of Fort Atkinson Parks and Recreation Department is seeking input from members of the community as it creates the city’s first Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan.

According to information released by the department, the plan serves to guide the continual improvement of the city’s park, trails and paths, open space system, and programming.

Additionally, the release stated, the Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan helps to maintain the city’s eligibility for state and federal grants.

“Tell us your ideas on how to improve our parks, trails and recreation programming. It’s important for the City of Fort Atkinson Parks and Recreation Department to offer comprehensive programming that is of interest to a variety of citizens from in and around Fort Atkinson,” Brooke Franseen, Parks and Recreation director, was quoted as saying in the release.

Residents are encouraged to provide feedback using an online survey which will be open through July 15, 2022. To participate in the survey, visit: https://publicinput.com/FortAtkinsonSurvey.

While online responses are preferred, hard copies of the survey are available at the Parks and Recreation Department, 30 N. Water St., West, and at the Fort Atkinson Senior Center, 307 Robert St., the release noted.
