‘Powerful Tools for Caregivers’ virtual educational series announced

The Aging and Disability Resource centers of Jefferson and Rock counties have announced that they will be offering a “Powerful Tools for Caregivers” educational series.

According to information released by the centers, the series is designed to provide those who care for individuals with dementia with the tools they need to also care for themselves.

The series will be offered virtually beginning Thursday, May 4, between 2 and 3:30 p.m.

As stated in the release, the six-week series helps family caregivers reduce stress, improve self-confidence, improve communication, balance their lives, increase their ability to make tough decisions and locate helpful resources. Interactive lessons, discussions and brainstorming help caregivers choose and use tools.

Registration to participate in the series is required and class space is limited, the release noted.
