The Greater Whitewater Committee (GWC) has announced it will be hosting State Rep. Evan Goyke as a guest speaker.
According to a news release, Goyke, who is the ranking Democratic Party Assembly member serving on the Joint Committee on Finance, will be presenting an overview of the state budget.
Goyke, Milwaukee, represents the 18th Assembly District.
Goyke will address the committee Thursday, March 9, at 7 a.m., at 841 Brewhouse, 841 E. Milwaukee St, Whitewater.
“Goyke will be providing an in-depth presentation on the state budget, and will also be opening up the floor to discussion and further questions,” the release stated.
“We are so excited to hear another voice from the Joint Committee on Finance. Rep. Goyke has intricate knowledge and information to share on this year’s state budget.” GWC President Jeffery Knight was quoted as saying in the release.

According to the release, Rep. Evan Goyke is from the Madison area. He attended Marquette University Law School, and previously served as an attorney in the Office of Wisconsin State Public Defender, and as an adjunct professor of law at Marquette. Along with the Joint Committee on Finance, Goyke serves on the following legislative committees: Joint Legislative Council, Joint Survey Committee on Tax Exemptions, Joint Review Committee on Criminal Penalties, and Committee on Corrections.
