Rep. Scott Johnson thanks opponent, addresses constituents

Letter to the editor:

My campaign began with one simple priority in mind – providing true representation to the people of the 33rd Assembly District. Throughout the last several months, my team and I have knocked thousands of doors and I’ve had the opportunity to speak with so many great constituents around the district. I’ve heard your concerns and I know what needs to be done. Thanks to your support today and throughout this election cycle, I will be bringing common sense, logical solutions to Madison and getting important work done for the people of the 33rd.

I’d like to thank my opponent, Don Vruwink, for his years of service to the people of the 43rd District and running a great race. I’d also like to thank my campaign staff and volunteers for their help throughout this endeavor. Whether it was door knocking, making calls, driving, taking photos, or simply showing up, we had an awesome group helping make sure we made it across the finish line. And most importantly, I’d like to thank my wife, Jill, for her love and support. I couldn’t have made it this far without her.

I look forward to hit the ground running in Madison and begin representing the hardworking people of the 33rd Assembly District. If you have any issues or concerns of a state matter, I encourage you to reach out and let me know.”

Rep. Scott Johnson
