Rock County Sheriff’s Office: Milton man charged with sixth OWI offense

A Milton resident has been charged with a sixth Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) offense, according to information released by the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the release, Duane E. Wille II, 43, was arrested Friday at approximately 7 p.m. after he was observed by a Rock County Sheriff’s Office sergeant traveling in a black Camaro at a speed of 103 miles per hour southbound on Highway 26 near Harmony Townhall Road. 

The posted speed limit on the road is 55 miles per hour, the release stated. 

“Wille displayed signs of impairment and after an investigation he was arrested for operating while intoxicated,” the release noted. 

As reported within the release, Wille has five prior OWI convictions. 

The sixth offense carries a felony charge, the release continued. 

Wille was transported to the Rock County Jail and will be scheduled for Jail Court on Monday, May 16,  at 3 p.m.

“Pursuant to the directive of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicity, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty,” the release read.
