Ronald Elmer Clarence Krueger, 84, of Marshall, formerly of Fort Atkinson, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023.
Born on June 17, 1939 to Hilma (Robley) and Elmer (Butch) Krueger of Navarino, WI
He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Hilma (Robley) Krueger, MaryEllen (Tscheck) his second wife, and first wife Janice (Huber) Adams, as well as his sister Bonita Krueger.
He is survived by two sons, Greg (Debbie) Krueger, Terry (Lisa) Krueger and three daughters, Mary (Mark) Duesterbeck, Terry Keeser, Kelly (Andrew) Gilgenbach and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with brother, Roger (Janice) Robley and sister, Cheryl (Richard) Sullivan.
Ron grew up and graduated from New London High School in 1958.
He worked as a Landscaper, upholster at Schweiger’s and Wisconsin Electric until his retirement. After his retirement he then traveled with Maryellen in an RV. They visited all 48 contiguous US States, Canada and Mexico. They settled in the Fort Atkinson/Lake Mills area.
Ron served in the Army as well as the Reserves for many years. He sat as an Alder Person for the Jefferson City Council for two years. He was an active member in the Boondocker’s Street Rod Association, Moose Lodge, and Fort Atkinson American Legion Hall as well as St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Johnson Creek where he enjoyed quilting. He also volunteered at Twice as Nice.
A Celebration of Ron’s Life will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 129 N. Watertown Street, Johnson Creek, WI with Pastor Dale Vlastnik officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. at the church until the time of service. A luncheon will follow the service.
A private graveside service with military honors will be held at a later date.
Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
