Shirley A. Hanson, 83, of Jefferson, passed away Monday, October 30, 2023 at home surrounded by her family.
Shirley was born on November 22, 1939 in La Crosse, WI, daughter of the late Edgar and Eudora (Meachum) Coleman. On August 3, 1957 she married Gordon Hanson of Viroqua.
Shirley worked for more than 30 years at Redi-Serve Foods in Fort Atkinson.
She is survived by her children son, Randy (Patty Pohlman) Hanson; daughters, Lisa Hanson of Madison and Wanda (Dave) Funk of Jefferson; grandchildren, Jennifer (Alex Bjelopetrovich) Heiman, Justin (Chrissi Young) Heiman, Jody (Nadra) Bell, Amanda Dimiceli and Casey Hanson; great grandchildren, Jay Heiman and Andromeda Heiman-Young and sister-in-law, Shirley Long. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Hanson and siblings, William Coleman, Gerald Coleman, Laverda Gilbert, Loretta Kleman, Betty Hatke, Eldon Coleman, Joyce Coleman, Yvonne Coleman and Rosie Coleman.
Following her wishes, no service will be held.
Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
