Spring play ‘Clue’ performances begin Friday at Fort High School

Performances of “Clue” the high school edition will be held this weekend, beginning Friday evening at the Fort Atkinson Performing Arts Center.

According to information released by the Fort Atkinson High School, this year’s high school spring play, Clue, is based on the 1985 Paramount movie which was inspired by the Hasbro board game of the same name.

The play is described within the release as “a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery,” which tells the story of a remote mansion, which is the location where six mysterious guests assemble to participate in an unusual dinner party.

Murder and blackmail are on the menu, the release states.

The plot forms around the unexpected death of the dinner party’s host, making the guests suspects in a murder.

The play includes such well-known characters as “Wadsworth,” “Miss Scarlett,” “Professor Plum,” “Mrs. White,” “Mrs. Green,” “Mrs. Peacock,” and “Colonel Mustard,” all of whom “race to find the killer as the body count stacks up,” the release notes.

This weekend, performances will be held at the Fort Atkinson Performing Arts Center, 925 Lexington Blvd., Fort Atkinson, Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 7 p.m., and Sunday, April 23, at 2 p.m., with doors opening at 1:30 p.m.
