It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Troy “Squeak” Hebbe, 54 of Jefferson, on September 5, 2024, in Rhinelander WI, surrounded by his family.
Troy was born on November 6, 1969, in Fort Atkinson, son of Harlow and Nancy (Draeger) Hebbe.
Like many others, Troy had his struggles as well as underlying health conditions, that even he wasn’t aware of. Despite that, he was a devoted father, passionate outdoorsman, and cherished member of the Jefferson community, who left this world leaving a legacy of kindness and selflessness. Troy dedicated many years to the Jefferson School District and Fire Department, where his big heart and readiness to lend a hand were evident to all. His work ethic and perfectionist nature touched the lives of many. He was a man of few words but meant every one.
His son, Nathan, was the light of his life, and being his father was one of his proudest accomplishments. Troy was also an enthusiastic supporter of his nieces and nephews, celebrating their successes with joy and pride. He was an avid Packer and NASCAR fan, as well as all things Jefferson Eagles. He was known for his skills as a pit crew member at the Jefferson Speedway and demolition derbies. He always made sure everyone was fed, most times cooking enough for a “village”.
Troy’s visits to his parents in the Upper Peninsula were cherished moments. His love for the outdoors, his family, and the simple act of putting others before himself defined a life rich in generosity and kindness. Troy H. Hebbe will be profoundly missed.
Troy is survived by his son, Nathan Hebbe (girlfriend, Julia Ball); mother, Nancy Hebbe; brothers, Ryan (Trisha) Hebbe and Curtis Hebbe (fiancé, Morgan Stelse); niece and nephews, Kastyn, Ryder, Cole and Drew and great niece, Isla. He was preceded in death by his father, Harlow Hebbe.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. at the memorial home until the time of service.
