The United Way of Jefferson and North Walworth Counties has announced that it has received cash donations made by two Fort Atkinson businesses: Ryan Ebert LLC, a photography firm, and Jones Market.
Both businesses were involved with the Magic on Jones Avenue event held at Jones Market on Dec. 17.
In a recent press release, United Way of Jefferson and North Walworth Counties Executive Director Megan Hartwick said the organization was pleased to receive the generous donations made by each of the two companies.
Hartwick said that a donation made by Ebert came as a portion of proceeds he made while offering photographs with Santa during the holiday event. He donated $750 to the United Way.
In Addition, Jones Market donated $547 to the community nonprofit with those monies earned from the sale of hot chocolate and cookies at the Jones Market event.
Cookies sold at the event were donated by Pine Cone Restaurant in Johnson Creek, according to the release.
Said Hartwick in the release: “Our United Way is so incredibly grateful for the support from both Ryan and the Jones Market team from this event. It’s such a wonderful holiday community gathering and we’re honored that United Way was chosen as the recipient of the donated funds. Our work and our mission can only be as strong as the community members and community partners who support it, so we want to thank Ryan and Jones Market for making such a generous effort to support the health, education and financial stability of our communities.”
The two organizations recently gathered, along with Harwick, at the Jones Market to present the donations to the United Way.
