An announcement released Monday from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater reads as follows: Inclement weather is forecast for our area. Campus officials are monitoring the weather situation closely. In the unlikely event that classes are canceled or a significant change in modality is required university-wide (remote learning), UW-Whitewater will provide information through the emergency notification system, which sends notifications via email, the UW-Whitewater homepage, mobile alerts and social media.
Currently, it should be assumed that activities at UW-Whitewater will go on as scheduled. It is expected that the Whitewater and Rock County campuses will remain open and classes will take place as normal.
As with any inclement weather event, please use your own best judgment and consider your personal safety before deciding to attend classes or work.
- Faculty and instructional staff members should communicate with students via Canvas regarding individual course cancellations or individual changes in course format/modality.
- Students, as always, make sure you communicate with your instructors if you won’t be in class.
- Employees who cannot make it safely to work should contact their supervisors and request appropriate leave or make arrangements for remote work as their job duties allow.
